POLICIES

We encourage parents/guardians to get involved in their child’s education and development. As such, your cooperation with our policies will make Tomorrow's Hope a safe and fair environment for everyone.

Closures & Delays

Due to inclement weather or emergencies, it’s sometimes necessary to cancel or close early. It’s crucial that parents/guardians provide up-to-date emergency contact information in the case of closures. Parents/guardians will be our first contact and we will then contact those persons on your child's contact list. Our school number is 1346. If there is a delay of opening for schools due to weather, there will no before-school care and the delay will impact that day’s schedule. For example, a 2-hour delay will result in the Center opening at 10:30 a.m.

Medication

If your child is prescribed any medication, the parent/guardian must provide the medication in its original vial from the pharmacy with the prescribed dosage indicated. Our staff will administer the medication as directed by the doctor.

Emergencies

Should an emergency arise, we follow a comprehensive safety plan. Our staff are trained to carry out evacuations, lockdowns, and other procedures. We hold drills regularly to practice and update these procedures. Emergency procedures are available for your review in our building.

Illness

To prevent the spread of illness at Tomorrow's Hope, we urge parents/guardians to keep sick children at home. If your child becomes ill while in our care, you will be asked to arrange for immediate pick-up. We will call the people on your emergency list if you are unavailable.

Food & Feeding

Tomorrow's Hope's nutrition program provides a free balanced breakfast, morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack, dinner, and an evening snack as part of our participation in the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Child and Adult Care Food Program. Please notify our staff of your child’s food sensitivities or allergies in writing. Parents/guardians of infants may supply breast milk or formula for feeding.

Play Areas & Playground

Tomorrow's Hope's classrooms offer space for your children to safely explore. Our spaces also include an eating area and other play stations. Recess is typically held outside, weather permitting. Please make sure your child has appropriate clothing to wear outside.

Sanitation

Our staff cleans and disinfects the play and eating area daily. Children are required to wash their hands with soap and water before eating and after using the restroom.

Security

Your child's security is of vital importance. The front door is the only parent/guardian access point to the Center, can only be accessed by a key code, and is monitored at all times. Parents and visitors are required to sign-in upon arrival.

Supervision

Our goal to ensure each child is cared for, supervised, and safe. Our supervision policies and instructor to child ratio complies with state and local regulations.

Transportation

Transportation is provided for before and after school care from the child's school within the Everett School District, as well as to, if requested in advance. For any field or day trips, parents will be notified and asked approval ahead of time. Car seats and booster seats are provided for children who need them.

Wellness

Your child’s wellness is crucial for their continued learning and development. We practice sanitary habits at the Center, to prevent the spread of illness. We ask that children who are sick or have been absent for sickness remain home and obtain a doctor’s note upon returning to preschool. Parents/guardians should notify our staff about any illnesses, injuries, or problems that occur at home.
